NormaTec Recovery Shailer Park and Loganholme

NormaTec Recovery Systems are dynamic compression and patented pulse technology devices designed for recovery and rehabilitation.  The system can be used by anyone, from the elite athlete, weekend warrior and public.  If you spend a lot of time on your feet all day at work, these are the best wind down tool you can possibly use.

What’s involved with Normatec:

A recovery session can be a 30 min session with the NormaTec Pulse Recovery System.  Additionally you can add a recovery session on top of your chiropractic sessions as well. For this just ask our friendly staff when you go to book.

How does Noramtec work:

Our systems include a control unit and attachments which go on the legs, arms, or hips. They use compressed air to massage your limbs, mobilize fluid, and speed recovery.

When you use our systems, you will first experience a pre-inflate cycle, during which the connected attachments are molded to your exact body shape. The session will then begin by compressing your feet, hands, or upper quad (depending on which attachment you are using). By providing a mechanical massaging of the muscles, the system replicates the enhanced blood flow created by walking, running, or cycling all while you relax

Similar to the kneading and stroking done during a massage, each segment of the attachment will first compress in a pulsing manner and then release.

This will repeat for each segment of the attachment as the compression pattern works its way up your limb.

When to Use the system:

The Nomatec Recovery System can be used both before and after exercise, whether it is routine training or high-level competition.  Before exercise, the Normatec Recovery System acts as a high-tech massage to warm up your muscles.  Pre-workout sessions are generally 10 to 20 minutes long.  After exercise, the system helps your recovery process.  Post-workout recovery sessions are generally 20 to 30 minutes long.
